‘New Mobility Spaces’: this was the theme under which the premium e-bike manufacturer Riese & Müller presented itself at EUROBIKE in Frankfurt am Main as a pioneer for post-fossil individual mobility in urbanised areas.

The challenge

Realisation of a concise brand identity that underlines Riese & Müller’s pioneering role and conveys the social relevance of a new mobility culture.

Our approach

A petrol station as a scenographic symbol for the possibilities of the new mobility – this central idea is surprising in the context of a bicycle trade fair and at the same time opens up space for reflection and dialogue.

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY FOR LIVEABLE CITIES

Under the theme ‘New Mobility Spaces’, Riese & Müller used a stylised petrol station at EUROBIKE to illustrate how public spaces are changing with the transformation of mobility. Traditional infrastructures such as petrol stations or car parks, which are now often abandoned, offer spaces that can be revitalised and used in new ways. Against the backdrop of global climate protection, e-mobility is particularly relevant to society. E-bikes are energy-efficient, low-emission and space-saving, which makes them a sensible alternative to motorised transport. They help to reduce traffic volumes and environmental pollution in urban areas, improve quality of life and open up new avenues for sustainable mobility.

"Working for Riese & Müller has inspired our team and completely captivated us with the ‘bicycle spell’. The intensive examination of the mobility of the future has motivated us to be part of this open, dynamic community that rethinks and develops existing patterns. The petrol station provides a surprising impetus for revitalising existing spaces. It creates a place that offers the community impressive product experiences and at the same time space for relaxed dialogue."

LEITMOTIF LINE AND BRAND LOGO

One focus of the presentation was on the branding of signage and signalling. Inspired by product design, moving elements and lines structured and characterised the exhibition space. They emphasised the dynamism of the e-bikes on display.

Another key element of the graphic: the ‘&’. The Riese & Müller brand logo. From the signage system to the team’s clothing, the graphic design around the brand logo was stringently established. Beyond the EUROBIKE, the signet was continued in point-of-sale campaigns.

BRAND EXPERIENCE AND HOSPITALITY

New technology, new mobility and digital services: open dialogue rooms on these topics encourage the exchange between Riese & Müller experts and visitors. This direct contact between the e-bike manufacturer and its guests is the common thread that runs through the entire trade fair presentation. From the product presentation, highlights and hospitality to the outdoor area with its test track – visitors experienced the brand up close.

DEEP DIVE INTO THE DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM

Immerse yourself in the world of new mobility: the info point with Riese & Müller’s digital ecosystem, the Rider Experience (RX), invited visitors to do just that. Interested parties were able to find out about the wide range of products and solutions for the mobility of the future.
